You can’t show up at a party, potluck, family reunion or holiday gathering without at least an 80% chance of running into a layered dip. And we are not complaining about that. Because what’s in those layers is almost always something delicious. As in, mostly cheese and bacon. Or like this Cooper Cheese BLT layered dip, where one of the world’s greatest sandwiches combines with one of the world’s tastiest cheeses (that’s Cooper!), all in a snacky, dippable form. Now that’s a party we’ll show up for.

INGREDIENTS

16-ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 cup lettuce, finely chopped or shredded
1 cup fully cooked bacon, crumbled
2 plum or Roma tomatoes, diced
2 green onions, chopped
1/2 pound Cooper Sharp White cheese (request as a single block for shredding)
tortilla chips, corn chips or crackers for dipping

DIRECTIONS

In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese, mayonnaise and parmesan cheese with a hand mixer until smooth.

Spread into a large clear dish (to show the layers). Add a layer of lettuce, then bacon, then tomatoes. Shred the Cooper Cheese block until you have approximately 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese. Layer the cheese over the tomatoes. Sprinkle with green onion.

Serve with tortilla chips, corn chips or crackers of your choice.
